I’ve never been good at keeping things in separate boxes.
For the better part of three decades, I’ve run businesses. I teach business to undergraduates. I mediate disputes and train other people to do the same. I’m finishing a degree in professional counseling. And running underneath all of it is a passion to serve my neighbor—because I’m a Confessional Lutheran who believes that ordinary work, done for the sake of the person right in front of us, is one of the chief ways God quietly cares for the world.
